Welcome to my new blog. This site is built with Astro and hosted on the free tier of Azure Static Web Apps. Its look is based on the Refined-X theme.
How it works
- Posts are plain Markdown files in
src/content/posts/. - Pushing to
mastertriggers a GitHub Actions workflow. - The workflow builds the site and deploys the static files to Azure.

Posts can be written in any text editor, or in the browser through the editor at /admin/. Saving there opens a pull request, which gets its own preview site before anything goes live.

Images sit next to the post and are resized and converted to modern formats at build time:
Hosting
The site is fully static: every page is built ahead of time, so there’s no server or database to look after. More soon.
